St Austell Brewery
Trelawny Ale invokes the best Cornish traditions, heritage and
innovation. Locally grown barley is gently roasted to give this beer a
classic burnished copper colour and a robust full body which belies its
modest strength. A unique blend of traditional English Golding, and
specially imported Galaxy hops from distant South Australia harmonise to
give this beer a distinctive character of the old, and the new world.
Peach and apricot notes dominate the aroma, with hints of butterscotch
and toffee apple. The taste is full, with toasted biscuit and jam being
balanced by the mellow, yet assertive bitterness of tangy hops.
St Austell Brewery's award-winning Tribute Ale was first brewed to commemorate the 1999 solar eclipse. Today, the popularity of this great-tasting 4.2% abv beer has spread nationwide; with Tribute now being voted as one of the UK's top-ten premium cask ales. A Supreme Champion Ale of Cornwall as voted by CAMRA, Tribute is a popular favourite with locals and visitors to Cornwall, as well as being a much sought after guest ale throughout the rest of the UK. It is brewed using specially grown Cornish Gold Malt and is a perfect companion to chicken, gammon or fish. The ideal alternative to a fine white wine.
Proper Job is an authentic IPA brewed with Cornish spring water and a blend of malts including our own Cornish Gold.
First brewed in 2006 as a seasonal beer,
Proper Job proved so popular with thirsty customers that it is now a
permanent part of the St Austell Brewery portfolio and our second best
selling cask ale.
A powerfully hopped golden bitter that explodes with citrus grapefruit flavours.
